You can easily set up your digital bag tag at home via your smart phone and attach it to your bag. When you arrive at the airport, you can then drop off your bag directly at one of the self-service bag drop kiosks or at an available counter.
Norwegian supports electronic bag tags from the suppliers BAGTAG and BagID, in addition to the bag tags that are built into certain RIMOWA suitcase models.
Remember to download the bag tag app for whichever supplier you use so that you can transfer your details to the device.
How to use electronic bag tags
- Check in for your Norwegian flight as normal online or via the Norwegian app.
- Download the BAGTAG app or the BagID app on your smartphone.

To create an electronic bag tag, you will need to use your booking number. You can find this in your confirmation receipt or on your boarding pass.

You can only create your electronic bag tag from 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure time.
Due to legal requirements, electronic bag tags cannot be used on certain flights. Find out more from your chosen electronic bag tag provider.
If you aren't using your electronic bag tag on your flight, make sure it is switched off or stored inside your suitcase.
If your booking includes multiple flights, this will automatically appear on the electronic bag tag.
All electronic bag tags supported by Norwegian can be taken on board without any problems.
